Metrojet Engineering Clark (MEC), a Philippine-based aircraft maintenance company, announced the opening of an Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) support station at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The new facility aims to improve response times for aircraft encountering technical problems in Manila. The station will be equipped with tools and ground support equipment (GSE) to enable MEC to service planes directly at the airport.
“We’re seeing an increase in air traffic and AOG requests in Manila,” said MEC General Manager Sarith Vaikuntan. “This new station allows us to provide faster and more efficient support to our existing clients and new customers in need.”
MEC will officially begin operations on May 1, in partnership with local business jet service provider Asian Aerospace Corporation.
MEC is a part of Hong Kong-based Metrojet Limited and operates a 7,100 square meter hangar with repair station certifications from various aviation authorities.©️
