The recognition was given during the Barangay Town Hall Meeting held on April 11 at the Legazpi City Hall. Legazpi City Mayor Carmen Geraldine B. Rosal received the Certificate of Commendation for their efforts in streamlining business processes, reducing red tape, and fostering a more conducive business environment.

“We are continuously upgrading [eBOSS] to better serve our constituents,” Mayor Rosal said.

The establishment of eBOSS was a significant achievement for the Legazpi City Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), particularly during the challenges posed by the pandemic. The BPLO, led by Asuncion C. Viñas, collaborated with ARTA and other government agencies to establish the system.

“We envisioned a system where the BPLO seamlessly collaborates with various regulatory offices,” Viñas shared.

Legazpi City is the first local government unit in the Bicol region to implement eBOSS. ARTA Secretary Ernesto V. Perez commended the city’s leadership and encouraged other LGUs to embrace the “Bagong Pilipinas” vision of efficient and transparent governance.©️
